By 5:52 p.m., the blaze had zero containment. The cause remained under investigation.
Zone RVC-0231B
El Casco sits in San Timoteo Canyon between Beaumont, Redlands and Moreno Valley, a setting that leaves nearby roads and evacuation routes central to the response. For residents in zone RVC-0231B, the immediate step is to stay close to the warning area guidance and be ready to move without delay.
The shelter at Valley View High School and the animal campus in San Jacinto are the named destinations for anyone pushed out by the warning. With the fire still at zero containment late Monday, the practical question for people in the zone is simple: whether they can leave before deputies or fire crews force the issue.
