The Lego Store opened at meadowhall on Thursday, June 11, in a larger unit on High Street, lower Level. Shoppers can now browse the relocated shop, which adds Sheffield-inspired models and new in-store features.
Darren Pearce, Meadowhall’s centre director, said the move gives fans of all ages a bigger place to explore the brand and lets shoppers add more of the Lego range to their collections.
High Street at Meadowhall
The store started welcoming its first customers on June 11 after moving within the Sheffield shopping centre. Its new location is on High Street, lower Level, keeping the Lego brand inside Meadowhall while giving it more room than before.
Pearce said the store has been popular with visitors for the last 15 years. That long run at the centre explains why the move stayed inside Meadowhall rather than appearing as a completely new opening elsewhere in Sheffield.
Sheffield-inspired Lego models
The relocated shop includes specially designed Sheffield-inspired Lego models that celebrate the city’s music, architecture and food. It also has a Lego Pick a Brick Wall, a Lego Minifigure Factory and brick specialists who can give expert advice in store.
Those additions make the new unit more than a simple relocation. They give customers more ways to build, customise and compare sets in one visit, while keeping the shop tied to Sheffield’s local identity.
Pearce on the larger unit
“It’s brilliant to see the Lego Store move to a larger unit within Meadowhall, giving fans of all ages an even bigger place to explore everything the brand has to offer. The store has proved hugely popular with visitors for the last 15 years and the move will mean shoppers can browse even more of the Lego range and add to their collections.” Pearce said.
For customers, the practical change is straightforward: the store is open, it is larger, and it now offers more display space and hands-on features inside Meadowhall. The move gives regular visitors a wider range to browse without leaving the centre.
