spfl will release the first 33 rounds of the 2026-27 Scottish Premiership fixtures at 12:00 BST on Thursday 18 June. That gives all 12 clubs a first look at the route through the split before the season opens on the weekend of 1/2 August.

The announcement covers the opening 33 rounds only, with the post-split schedule to follow later. Round 33 lands on 10 April, which leaves the final five league games to be fitted into the run from the split to mid-May.

That structure matters for every club planning travel, televised slots and early-season workloads. It also comes with a change at the bottom of the division: St Johnstone replace Livingston in the top flight this season.

Celtic, Hearts and the European path

Celtic go into 2026-27 chasing a sixth straight title after sealing a fifth straight crown by beating Hearts in the final few minutes of the last game. They are also the only side guaranteed European football beyond qualifiers.

Hearts start in the second round of Champions League qualifying against Sturm Graz, Rangers begin in the third round of Europa League qualifying, Motherwell have been drawn against Havnar Boltfelag of the Faroe Islands, and Hibernian face the winners of Vllaznia of Albania or Malisheva of Kosovo in the second stage of Conference League qualifying.

St Johnstone under Simo Valakari

St Johnstone return as the new name in the Premiership list, with Simo Valakari leading the club after Livingston dropped out. There will be no winter break because of the increased demands of the European schedule, so the league timetable runs straight through the middle of the season.

The five rounds after the split end on the weekend of 15/16 May, and the Premiership play-off final follows over two legs on 20 and 23 May. For clubs in the middle and lower half, the release on Thursday is the first clear map of how long the climb to safety or the push for Europe will actually take.
