Luciano Oliveira said the addition "brings an even broader mix of much-loved content to the platform" and gives customers "more of what they love, all in one place."

EE TV Box Pro Details

EE TV Box Pro is a 4K/HDR YouView-based box with Freeview recording built in, and EE says the Disney+ app can now be downloaded and signed in to on both the EE TV Box Pro and the EE TV Box Edge.

March HBO Max and DAZN

In March, HBO Max arrived on the platform while EE added the DAZN app to the Box Pro and Box Edge around the same time; Discovery+ departed for new subscribers and TNT Sports moved over to HBO Max during that platform shake-up.

EE TV is the pay-TV service for BT Broadband and EE Broadband, and customers who chose the EE TV Apple TV 4K Box have been able to watch Disney+ via the App Store prior to today’s native-app rollout.

Disney+ is the streaming home for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, FX and, with recent and upcoming titles on the service that include Zootropolis 2, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, The Testaments, The Beauty and the second season of Tucci in Italy; the fifth and final season of FX’s The Bear lands later this month.

Disney+ is being added in mid-2026 even though it has been a fixture on practically every streaming device for years, creating an obvious timing question after EE’s March platform work that already altered several app and sports arrangements.

EE has reshaped its app lineup since March — so why did EE wait until now to add Disney+ to the EE TV Box Pro and EE TV Box Edge?
