Jjk Season 4 teaser lands as MAPPA confirms Jujutsu Kaisen is in production

MAPPA used its 15th Anniversary Lineup Reveal livestream on Friday to unveil a teaser video for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Part 2 and confirm that the anime is in production. The clip did not give viewers the one detail they were waiting for: a release window.

That is why fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are searching now. The new season has been announced, the work is underway and Takeru Satō is set to take over as director, but the timeline remains blank. For a series that has already moved through three television runs and multiple films, even a short teaser is enough to restart the conversation.

The update matters because the title itself marks the next chapter in a franchise that has kept a steady pace on screens. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 premiered with its first two episodes as a one-hour special on January 8, then closed with an extended 27-minute finale on March 26. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime worldwide outside Asia, which means the next season will again arrive with a built-in global audience watching for the first sign of movement.

There is also a clean handoff behind the scenes. Shōta Goshozono directed the third season, while Hiroshi Seko wrote and oversaw the scripts, Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa handled character design and Yoshimasa Terui composed the music. Satō now steps into that line as the fourth season moves forward, but MAPPA has not said whether the production is at an early stage or close to delivery.

That missing window is the story’s sharpest edge. The teaser confirms momentum, not timing, and the studio chose to reveal the project on its anniversary stage without attaching a date to it. For fans, that leaves one clear takeaway: Jujutsu Kaisen is coming back, but the wait still has no calendar attached.
