easyJet has put a new winter service from Cornwall Airport Newquay to Geneva on sale, with weekly Saturday flights starting on January 16 and running through February 2027. It is Cornwall Airport Newquay’s first international easyJet service.
Seats are already available on easyJet.com and through the mobile app, with fares starting from £37.99. For travellers in Cornwall, that creates a direct winter link to Switzerland and the Alps on a route that will run only once a week.
Kevin Doyle on Newquay
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said the launch marks an important milestone for the airline in Cornwall. He said: “We are delighted to be putting another route on sale from Newquay, our first international service from the region, following the recent launch of our route to London Gatwick.”
He also said: “Our winter service to Geneva will be perfect for those looking to book a winter getaway whether that’s for a city break or a ski trip in the French Alps.” easyJet described the service as its first international route from the region after the London Gatwick route went on sale.
Nigel Scott and Cornwall
Nigel Scott, Commercial Director at Cornwall Airport Newquay, said the route gives “travellers in Cornwall a direct connection to the Alps with easyJet this winter.” He added that demand is high for direct ski access from the region, and said the service offers an affordable and convenient way for travellers to reach some of Europe’s best ski resorts.
Scott also said Cornwall Airport Newquay is continuing to strengthen its partnership with easyJet into the winter season. For passengers, the practical point is simple: this is not a daily network link, but a single weekly Saturday option that opens a direct winter route to Geneva without changing at another airport.
January 16 to February 2027
The route’s limited schedule is the main constraint. easyJet is selling one weekly service rather than a broader winter programme, so travellers need to plan around Saturdays only if they want the direct connection from Newquay.
That schedule also makes the route more of a targeted winter offering than a year-round link. The unanswered commercial question is how many seats easyJet will make available across the season, but the immediate answer for travellers is already on sale: one new route, one weekly flight, and a direct way from Cornwall to Switzerland and the Alps.
