National Highways has listed overnight M25 closures in Surrey this week between Jct 8 and Jct 11, along with roadworks on the A3. The work runs between 8pm and 6am, putting overnight drivers on the affected stretches into diversion routes and slower journeys.

On the A3, northbound traffic between Compton and Stoke faces a carriageway closure from 9pm to 6am for structures work. Southbound traffic at the Ockham exit slip road is set for a closure from 10pm to 5.30am for barrier works.

National Highways also lists a M25 anti-clockwise closure between Jct 9 at Leatherhead and Jct 8 at Reigate from 10pm to 5.30am for concrete repair works. On the other side of the motorway, the clockwise carriageway between Jct 10 at Wisley and Jct 11 at Chertsey is scheduled to close from 10pm to 5.30am for surfacing works.

The Surrey roadworks sit within a weekly list of planned works, and the closures are concentrated in the hours when night-shift drivers and early morning commuters are most likely to use the roads. That leaves drivers with a simple choice on the affected nights: use the diversion routes or change travel plans before setting out.

The closures can still create longer journeys, even though they are overnight, because the affected sections sit on major highways and the work may change at short notice. National Highways says roadworks can change quickly, especially during periods of extreme weather, so drivers heading for these stretches should leave extra time and check before they travel.

For anyone using Surrey routes this week, the key detail is the window: 8pm to 6am on the wider programme, with individual closures starting at 9pm or 10pm and ending at 5.30am or 6am. The route pattern is clear, even if the exact nights for each closure are not set out here, so the safest move is to avoid the affected M25 and A3 sections overnight when possible.
