Casio announced the G-Shock Pokémon watch 30th anniversary model, the GA110PKM-7A, as a full-sized G-SHOCK built around Pokémon's milestone year. The release puts 30 Pokémon on the band and sends the watch to customers in a Poké Ball-shaped box.
US pre-orders open July 1 at gshock.com, the G-SHOCK SoHo Store and select jewelers, at a price of $270. The global release is set for July 17, giving collectors a short window before the watch reaches wider sale.
GA110PKM-7A and G-SHOCK
The GA110PKM-7A stands out because Casio described it as a full-sized G-SHOCK. Previous Pokémon-branded timepieces were limited to Baby-G silhouettes, so this model shifts the collaboration into a larger case built for the GA110 platform.
Casio tied the design to the Pokémon franchise's 30th anniversary with red, green and blue accents across the hands, buttons, dial and bezel. Those colors nod to Pocket Monsters Red, Pocket Monsters Green and Pocket Monsters Blue, which launched in Japan in 1996, before Pokémon Red and Blue arrived overseas two years later.
Poké Ball and 30 Pokémon
The face carries a Poké Ball-inspired inset dial at the 9 o'clock position, while the watch hands are shaped in Pikachu's silhouette. The band starts with Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur, then adds Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly, with Pikachu and Eevee also represented.
Mew sits on the band loop, and the caseback is engraved with a commemorative 30th-anniversary Pokémon logo. Casio ships the watch in a Poké Ball-shaped box printed with all 30 Pokémon from the band, turning the packaging into part of the collectible.
GA110PKM-7A features and release
The watch includes 200-meter water resistance, shock and magnetic resistance, world time across 29 zones, five daily alarms, a 1/1000th-second stopwatch with speed measurement and a full auto-calendar running through 2099. Those are standard utility features for a G-SHOCK, but here they sit inside a design built to read as a franchise tribute first.
For buyers, the immediate step is simple: July 1 is the pre-order date in the US, and the watch is set to reach the global market on July 17. The format signals that Casio is treating the GA110PKM-7A as a collector piece rather than a routine colorway, and the packaging and band design make that clear before the watch is even out of the box.
