Amad Diallo is not for sale as Manchester United hold firm

Amad Diallo is not for sale this summer, and Manchester United have made that stance clear despite the transfer noise around him. The club expect him to stay part of the plan for the new season, which keeps one winger decision off the list while the window is still open.

Romano on Manchester United

Fabrizio Romano said Manchester United’s position on Amad is very clear. He added that Michael Carrick has made his decision known to the club, and that United fully expect the winger to remain part of their plans for the new season.

Romano also said that if speculation continues linking Amad with Milan or other clubs, United’s stance has not changed. They want him to stay at the club, and that gives the player a different starting point from the usual summer exit talk that follows a productive season.

Amad’s 32-match season

Last season, Amad made 32 appearances in all competitions and produced two goals and three assists. Those numbers matter because they show why United are treating him as a squad piece rather than a player they need to move on.

In early May, Carrick said he was a big fan of Amad and praised his work ethic, attitude, talent and ability. He also said, “I actually think he’s playing well, Amad.” and added, “He’s played different roles at times. Yeah, I’m a big fan of Amad.”

AC Milan interest fades

Reports from Italy suggested Amad could move to AC Milan, but that line of interest has not changed United’s position. The reported link is the complication here: one club is said to be interested, while Manchester United are saying the player is staying and will be part of their new-season plans.

That leaves the practical picture simple for now. Amad remains in Manchester United’s squad plan, and any move would need a change in the club’s stance before it becomes a real option.
