Sharvari lifts Alpha Movie 2026 with BTS post, 4,918-show launch

Sharvari gave Alpha Movie 2026 a release-day push by posting behind-the-scenes photos and a video from the sets of Alpha on Instagram. The carousel landed as the film was being tracked across thousands of shows, putting the social post and the box office on the same timeline.

She wrote, “It's officially Alpha day! Serving some badass action on screen & good energies behind the scenes! #Alpha in cinemas near you.” The first photo showed Sharvari with Alia Bhatt, another showed her with Anil Kapoor, and the carousel also included a video of her skipping across the hills.

4,918 Shows on Friday

By 5 pm on Friday, Sacnilk said Alpha was running in 4,918 shows and had raked in around Rs 3.58 crore net. At 3 pm, it had already earned Rs 2.49 crore net in India and was playing across 4,033 shows nationwide, which shows the day’s business was still building as more screenings fed into the tally.

The scale matters because this is a release-day count across a wide footprint, not a one-theater story. With the show count moving from 4,033 to 4,918 in the same day, the film was gaining distribution weight while the early numbers came in.

Alia Bhatt’s Red Sea Warning

In December 2025 at the Red Sea Film Festival, Alia Bhatt said, “Alpha is the first female-led action film from the YRF universe, so that’s also a risk, because you’ve not historically seen that perform in the same way that the other male-led films have performed.” That line now reads less like promotion and more like a business case: the film has to open under the pressure of being a first for the YRF Spy Universe.

Early reactions to the first half praised Alia Bhatt and Sharvari for their performances and screen presence, while viewers described the narrative as gripping and the action as well executed. An X user also singled out Hrithik Roshan’s entry as one of the film’s key moments and said it sets the stage for what is next in the YRF Spy Universe.

Netflix After YRF

A report by Mid-day said Alpha is set to premiere on Netflix after its theatrical run, but that deal followed a tougher path than the final release plan suggests. The same report said YRF had earlier declined a Rs 215 crore deal for the film’s streaming rights before the cinema release, a sign that the studio valued the film’s post-theatrical upside differently from the offer on the table.

For readers watching the movie’s run, the immediate question is the one Friday’s numbers leave open: how high the opening-day total will finish once the full day is counted. Sharvari’s BTS post gave the launch a public face, but the final verdict will come from the day-one total and how well the show count converts into tickets.
