Paul Pelosi, the Nancy Pelosi husband, is facing hit-and-run charges after deputies say he hit a parked car in Napa County on July 3 and drove away. Napa County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 2:30 p.m. to the 6700 block of Yount Street in Yountville.
A witness told deputies a brown convertible struck a parked car on Yount Street in Yountville, stopped briefly, then left. The car that was hit sustained major rear damage, and later that day deputies found a brown convertible with significant front-right damage blocking Yountville Cross Road.

Deputies contacted the driver of the brown convertible and identified him as 86-year-old Paul Pelosi. He admitted hitting something but said, “I didn't know what I hit,” and kept driving.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office said an investigation found alcohol was not a factor in the crash. That leaves the reported driving decision, not impairment, at the center of the case deputies outlined.

The collision tied together two damaged vehicles in one short stretch of road. The parked car was described as a black Tesla, and KRON4 visited the scene and located it after the crash.
Pelosi’s identification makes the case more than a routine property-damage report. He is the husband of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, and the reported hit-and-run now places his own account against the sequence deputies laid out: impact, brief stop, departure, and later contact with the damaged convertible.
Nancy Pelosi for Fourth of July
KRON4 reached out to the office of Nancy Pelosi for comment on the Fourth of July and had not heard back by publication. The reporting does not say whether any court filing has already been made, so the practical next step is whatever prosecutors or the Napa County Sheriff’s Office pursue from the investigation record they assembled.
For now, the case turns on two facts that sit side by side: Pelosi said he did not know what he hit, and deputies say he drove away after a crash that left visible damage on both vehicles.
