World News Tonight with David Muir finished with 1.968 million total viewers for NBC Nightly News and 1.517 million for NBC Nightly News in the comparison provided for the week of June 29, 2026. It also posted 108,000 Adults 25-54 against 65,000 for NBC Nightly News, and 129,000 Adults 18-49 against 39,000 for NBC Nightly News.
The same week, the ABC broadcast led CBS Evening News in total viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49. CBS Evening News was listed at 3.765 million total viewers, 501,000 Adults 25-54 and 398,000 Adults 18-49.

The ratings report shows the gap stayed wide enough to separate ABC from both NBC and CBS in the core evening-news race, even as the same three programs remained close enough to be measured week to week. World News Tonight with David Muir was the most-watched program on all of broadcast and cable, excluding sports, for the 12th straight week.
Season to date, World News Tonight with David Muir ranked No. 1 in total viewers for the 10th straight year and led in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for the 7th season in a row. The program airs 6:30-7:00 p.m. ET on ABC, and the next weekly ratings report would show whether the run extends again.
