Late last week, the Missouri Attorney General's office said it was actively investigating Miller, the on-air NFL Draft analyst, after concerns surfaced around alleged suspicious interactions tied to fantasy sports leagues, career coaching and charity fundraising.

The investigation became public after a series of complaints gathered attention on Reddit a few weeks before the crash. According to the account, the issues predated the accident and centered on Miller's dealings with people online, including claims involving fantasy sports, coaching and fundraising.

Miller was involved in the accident on the afternoon of June 17 in Jasper County, Missouri, when his Ford Bronco crossed the center line and hit an oncoming semi-trailer. On June 23, Miller posted on Twitter that he had been in the crash a week earlier.

What Miller said about his injuries

Miller said the crash left him with significant injuries, including multiple fractures and broken ribs. He also said he underwent a life-saving amputation of his left arm.

In his message, Miller said he has “a long road ahead” but is focused on recovery and taking things one day at a time. He also thanked people for the support, prayers and kind messages he and his family have received.

After the accident, Miller's family created a GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses.

The situation puts a high-profile figure in the middle of both a serious medical recovery and a state consumer-protection investigation. For now, the most immediate story is his health, but the Missouri Attorney General's office investigation adds another layer to an already difficult stretch.

What happens next will depend on both Miller's recovery and the outcome of the state review.
