Embraer reports US$32.1 billion backlog at Farnborough Air Show

Embraer said at the Farnborough Air Show that its firm order backlog reached a record US$32.1 billion. The company paired that figure with 44 aircraft delivered in the first quarter of 2026, up 47% year over year.

The backlog is Embraer’s sixth consecutive record. It also sits alongside a Commercial Aviation backlog of around US$15 billion, lifted 50% year on year.

At the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, Embraer used the figures to show growth across Commercial Aviation, Executive Aviation and defence. The commercial side drew the clearest support: Finnair ordered up to 46 E195-E2 aircraft, adding to demand for the E-Jets family that includes the E195-E2 and E175.

Embraer also put Executive Aviation in view. The Phenom 300 series has topped global light jet deliveries for 14 consecutive years, while the Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E recently achieved triple certification from ANAC, FAA and EASA.

Embraer delivery outlook for 2026

The company projects 240 to 255 total aircraft deliveries in 2026, including 80 to 85 in Commercial Aviation and 160 to 170 in Executive Aviation. Those ranges show how much of the year’s output Embraer expects to come from its business-jet line, even as the commercial backlog remains elevated.

That mix leaves the practical question for customers and suppliers: whether the record order book can keep feeding deliveries at the same pace after a first quarter that already ran 47% ahead of last year.
