Mission To The Moon 1969
The watch takes its name from Mission To The Moon 1969 and draws on the Speedmaster Professional “Tribute to Astronauts” from 1969, along with its 2019 anniversary edition. Swatch positioned the launch at 15:32 CEST as well, tying the debut to the same moment the Saturn V rocket lifted off in 1969.
The case and bezel use Bioceramic, while the bezel carries a gold-printed tachymeter scale and an antireflective coating that gives it a polished appearance. The dial is vertically brushed and engraved with the Au750 hallmark.
Omega Gold Spare Parts
Swatch said it used actual gold from Omega spare parts to make the Moonshine Gold alloy for this edition, then recycled it in its in-house foundry into 18K Moonshine Gold. That choice sets the watch apart from a simple gold-themed release: the gold content is described as reused material, not newly sourced metal.
The crown and pushers are crafted from 18K Moonshine Gold, and the watch contains 11 grams of the alloy. The hour and minute hands are black-filled gold, the central chronograph seconds hand is black, and the sub-dial hands are black as well.

Each watch is individually numbered on the left side of the case as x/1969. The battery cover carries a gold Moon, the lunar-landing date, and the words “Mission To The Moon” in gold, with the Moon showing the footprint of an astronaut’s boot.
