Tom Brady and Logan Paul turned a Friday stage appearance at Fanatics Fest 2026 in New York City into a physical flashpoint when Brady slapped Paul across the face. Karl-Anthony Towns stepped in after the altercation, and the exchange reopened a feud that already had a timeline attached to it.
February to March
February set this up when Logan Paul told Brady at a Fanatics event that he thought his WWE career made him as athletic as NFL players. In March, the two first clashed before playing against one another during the 2026 Fanatics Flag Football Classic, and Brady later called Paul out for citing high school football stats in the argument at the draft for the fanatics flag football event.
That sequence matters because it shows the slap was not a stand-alone moment. Brady had already been trolling Paul while they played on opposite sides of the flag football tournament, so Friday’s scene reads less like random theater and more like the next step in a dispute that had already moved from talk to contact.
Logan Paul on First Take
May 23 put Paul on a slower recovery track after he suffered a torn triceps during his WWE World Tag Team Championship defense with The Vision's Austin Theory. On Friday’s 's First Take, he held up his arm and asked, “Does that look injured to you?”
“The WWE medical team needs to tune in and medically clear me, because I'm fine. I'm fine,” Paul said on the same appearance, before adding, “I just need another three to four months.” WWE doctors had estimated a six-month recovery, which leaves his comeback timing in the middle of a public tug-of-war between his own timeline and the medical one.
Bron Breakker and The Vision
April 2021 is when Paul made his WWE debut, and the injury has already shifted the tag-team picture around him. The Vision's Bron Breakker has replaced him as Austin Theory's partner, which gives the injury a direct roster consequence instead of just a talking-point backdrop.
Brady’s slap at Fanatics Fest 2026 now does more than extend a feud. It puts fresh attention on Paul’s return path at the same moment he is trying to convince WWE medical staff he is ready sooner than the six-month estimate.
