Shaquille O'Neal is bringing DJ Diesel to El Paso on Sept. 17. The stop lands at the 11:11 bar on Dyer Street and goes on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m.
One of just four Texas dates is now on the board, and that limits the in-state run to a small slice of fans in El Paso and the rest of Texas. O'Neal posted Tuesday that, as he put it in another recent move, "I usually come to Texas once a year for my festival… but this year we’re mixing it up and doing a full Texas Takeover".
DJ Diesel in El Paso Sept
Tickets go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m., which puts the purchase window ahead of the Sept. 17 performance by nearly a full month. For a show with one El Paso date and only four Texas stops, that timing makes the first sale day the practical start of the run.
The booking also separates this appearance from the annual festival pattern O'Neal described. He says he usually comes to Texas once a year for his festival, but this year he is changing the format to a full Texas Takeover, and El Paso sits inside that broader shift.
Northeast El Paso date
Sept. 17 at the 11:11 bar on Dyer Street gives Northeast El Paso a date-specific stop rather than a loose tour mention. That is the detail buyers need now: the name on the bill is DJ Diesel, the city is El Paso, and the ticket window opens Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.
The remaining question is simple: what other Texas stops make up the full Texas Takeover? For now, El Paso has the clearest place in the routing, and that makes this one of the few in-state chances to see Shaquille O'Neal perform under his DJ Diesel name.
