Karls Erlebnisdorf becomes RWO Niederrhein-Partner ahead of Rw Oberhausen Vs Dortmund

Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and Karls Erlebnisdorf announced a new partnership in Oberhausen on the day the club’s highlight friendly against Borussia Dortmund was approaching, linking the region’s football scene with one of the area’s newest leisure projects.

The collaboration makes Karls Erlebnisdorf a new Niederrhein-Partner of RWO and is designed to create actions and projects for fans, families and the wider region. That fits a clear local theme: Oberhausen is getting a major new destination, while RWO is looking for ways to bring the club even closer to its community.

A new partner for RWO

Karls Erlebnisdorf is expanding in Oberhausen with a new location at Westfield Centro Oberhausen. The site, Karls Erlebnisdorf Oberhausen, is scheduled to open on 22 July.

The attraction is expected to draw several million visitors each year and will feature 46,000 square meters of space. For RWO, the timing gives the club a fresh partnership story just as attention turns to Saturday’s friendly against Borussia Dortmund.

Marcus Uhlig, the chairman of the RWO board, said the club is pleased to welcome Karls Erlebnisdorf into the “rot-weißen Familie” as a new Niederrhein-Partner. He also said the partnership fits the club’s values and direction, and added that RWO will set an early signal at the home match against the BVB with a joint surprise action in Oberhausen.

Robert Dahl also welcomed the agreement, saying Karls has real enthusiasm for the partnership with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. He described the club as a cultural fixture, praised the passion around it and said it will be a pleasure to accompany RWO on its path and create memorable moments together.

For supporters, the practical takeaway is simple: this is not just a branding exercise. The idea is to build shared actions that connect football, families and the city, with the Borussia Dortmund friendly serving as the first public stage for the partnership.
