Emmerdale’s DS Reid exit
DS Reid arrived in Emmerdale as the officer investigating Charity Dingle's sexual assault case against Dr Caitlin Todd. Earlier this year, Dr Todd returned to Emmerdale as the mentor of trainee doctor Jacob Sugden, then bullied Jacob Sugden at work and was later reported to HR by Jacob Sugden.
The storyline then moved into blackmail and a police complaint. Dr Todd learned that baby Leyla was not biologically Sarah and Jacob's, blackmailed Charity Dingle, kissed a drunken Charity, and was rejected before Charity fell asleep on the sofa. Charity Dingle later reported Dr Todd to the police and told Mackenzie Boyd what happened and why she was being blackmailed.
