Wrexham Women will step onto the European stage for the first time on Wednesday evening when they face Pyunik of Armenia at the Racecourse Stadium.
The match is a notable moment for the club after last season's Genero Adran Premier title, which was Wrexham Women's first league championship. It also marks the start of a new continental chapter for a team that has moved quickly from domestic breakthrough to European debut.
A new step for Wrexham Women
Head coach Jenny Sugarman said Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have been strongly engaged with the women's side and are excited about what the team is building. She said they want to back and support the women's team and have made it clear that they want to help make it the best in the world.
Sugarman also said Rob Mac has been proactive in keeping in touch and making sure the club has what it needs. In her view, that support matters because Wrexham are still at the beginning of a bigger journey, even if the first signs are encouraging.

If Wrexham beat Pyunik, they will move on to face Glentoran or Riga FC of Latvia in the final at the Racecourse on 25 July. The same ground will host both the semi-final and, if Wrexham advance, the final.

The men's team previously represented Wales in Europe through the Welsh Cup route before becoming ineligible, so this moment gives Wrexham a fresh European story to tell.
