WinFuture says Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra family is being reshaped into four phones, and that starts with a new Galaxy S27 Pro. The report also points to camera changes and silicon-carbon batteries for the Galaxy S27 series.
Galaxy S27 Pro and two base devices
The reported split is simple enough to read, but it changes the lineup logic: two base devices and two higher-end flagships instead of the old one-size-fits-all ladder. For buyers, that means the Galaxy S27 Pro would sit as a smaller companion to the Ultra rather than a renamed middle tier.

50MP camera changes across the line
The Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are said to get a new sensor for the main 50MP camera. In practice, that suggests Samsung is not treating the lower two models as afterthoughts on the camera side.
The Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are said to get an updated 50MP ultrawide camera. The same report links that ultrawide hardware to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which hints at shared parts rather than a bespoke flagship-only module.
The top two Galaxy S27 models are also said to get new selfie cameras. That leaves the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ with a narrower camera update, even though they still pick up a new main sensor.
Silicon-carbon batteries and cost
A separate report says the Galaxy S27 series will adopt silicon-carbon batteries. The battery capacities are unclear, and the change is said not to be a significant increase.
The sharper wrinkle is cost. The report says the silicon-carbon battery change may not reach the entire lineup because of cost issues. That leaves open a practical split between models that get the new battery chemistry and models that do not.
The one question buyers still cannot answer is which exact Galaxy S27 models get the silicon-carbon batteries and how large those batteries will be. Until Samsung says more, the only solid read is that the lineup may be getting broader, while the battery upgrade may not be uniform.
