The Metropolitan Police have released CCTV footage in an appeal for information after a serious assault outside Alexandra Palace on 13 December 2025. Detective Constable Lizzie Coster said the force hopes the image will help identify a man they want to speak to following the incident at the World Darts Championship.
The victim, a man in his 20s, attended the event and left the venue around 16:30hrs before encountering a group of men dressed as lobsters. He argued with the group and was separated by site security, before running into them again shortly after on the venue’s concourse and being punched unconscious. Police say the injuries were non-life-threatening but serious and significant.

DC Coster said: “Our thoughts are with the victim in this case, and we hope the best for his recovery.” She added that the assault occurred outside a major sporting event and that the suspect was wearing a distinctive costume.

Shortly afterwards, he ran into the same group again and was knocked unconscious in the concourse area outside Alexandra Palace.
Police have identified the case reference as 6879/13DEC and say the appeal is now focused on tracing the man shown in the footage.
