IO Interactive pushed the first 007 First Light patch notes PS5 update on Friday. The patch adds two new TacSim missions, three new weapons, and a new outfit. PlayStation players also face a 23.84 GB download.
TacSim missions in First Light
The update adds The Workshop, a three-tier mission that sends Bond into Q's workshop for stealth play. It also adds Extraction Avenue, where the player has to shoot through the level before reinforcements arrive. That split matters because one mission rewards patience while the other pushes speed.
Three weapons and one outfit
The patch adds the Stormberg 50'cal pistol at Clearance Level 10, the DRX-2 Machine Pistol at Clearance Level 12, and the DRS-7 Silenced SMG at Clearance Level 16. Each weapon costs 3,000 intel to unlock. The same update also adds the Diamond in the Rough outfit for Bond at Clearance Level 18, and it also costs 3,000 intel.
PlayStation gets the bigger download
The patch is under 4 GB on every platform except PlayStation, where it reaches 23.84 GB. That gap means players on PlayStation need far more free storage and a longer download window before they can try the new missions or gear.
IO Interactive said, "This update demonstrates our team's commitment to refining the 007 First Light experience," and the patch also includes bug fixes, stability improvements, animation improvements, translation error fixes, and crash fixes for Xbox Series S. In June, IO Interactive also shared a roadmap that included a story DLC mission centered around pirate king Bawma, but the company has not set a date for that content.
