NBC Nightly News
NBC Nightly News ranked second with 6.684 million total viewers and 1.002 million viewers in the adults 25-54 demographic. It rose 5% in total viewers and 7% in the demo from the previous week, and it was up 20% in both measures from the same week last year.

CBS News has faced a series of setbacks and a steady decline in viewership since Bari Weiss was named editor-in-chief last October. Scott Pelley, who had worked at the network for nearly four decades, said Weiss was “murdering” the flagship news program, and the ratings for the week of July 13 left CBS Evening News far behind its two main rivals in both total viewers and adults 25-54.
That gap matters because the three broadcasts are measured by Nielsen on the same weekly scale, making even small percentage changes visible in the race for audience share. CBS Evening News also lost 1% in total viewers and 5% in the demo from the same week last year, leaving Tony Dokoupil’s broadcast as the only one of the three to fall that week.
