Love Island reunion season 8 is moving to Los Angeles in early August, and fans can apply for free seats at three live tapings. Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen will host the episode, which will air on Monday, August 31 at 6 p.m. PT on Peacock.
Los Angeles tapings for fans
The audience setup is the sharpest change. For the past two seasons, the reunion episode was filmed in New York on a closed set, but this time the cast will face a live crowd before the episode reaches Peacock. That opens the production to fans in a way the show has not used recently.
OS | LA Productions is handling the audience casting, and each fan must apply individually. Applications are free, but selection is not guaranteed, and anyone chosen must be at least 18 years of age and stay for the full taping.
Sunday, August 9 and Monday, August 10
The schedule is split across three tapings. The cast arrivals are set for Sunday, August 9 at 5:30 p.m. outside the studio in Universal City, then the reunion itself will tape in two parts on Monday, August 10, with a 9 a.m. session and a 2 p.m. session.
Each of the Monday tapings is expected to last six hours, which makes the access window much larger than a quick studio appearance. For fans selected for a seat, the tradeoff is simple: free entry in exchange for a long day inside the room.
Madix and Cohen return
Ariana Madix will return to host the reunion, with Andy Cohen alongside her again. The setup keeps the show’s familiar hosting duo in place while shifting the production into a fan-attended format in Los Angeles.
Bryce Alakai and Trinity Tatum won Love Island USA earlier this month and received a $50,000 grand prize, while Aniya Harvey and Carl Lee Schmidt finished second, Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea finished third, and Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou finished fourth. The reunion has not announced its official cast yet, so the biggest practical question for viewers is which of those names will actually sit down on the stage in Los Angeles.
