Vogue Williams said she cried twice privately after taking her three children out of camp for the whole day during a hotel visit. She later described that choice as a grave mistake, after the day ended with tired children, a hot setting and a plan that did not hold up.
Vogue and Amber podcast
“Honestly, yesterday I cried twice privately - twice! Cos I was like, 'Why are they doing this?'” Williams said on the Vogue and Amber podcast. She also said: “We took them out of camp yesterday for the whole day. And obviously, that was a grave mistake.”
She said the family were at a hotel they “never knew existed” and that it had a kids' club with pyramids, a huge big climbing frame and a water slide. But she said her children did not care about the facilities, and that the heat leaves little bodies “tired and worn out.”
Three children, one early pickup
Williams said she and Spencer Matthews usually collect the children early so they can go to the beach, do shopping, get work done and relax for a few hours. Instead, the children skipped into camp the next day, which is the clearest sign the full-day plan pushed them beyond the routine that works for the family.
That gap between a polished family outing and what actually happened is the useful part of the story. Williams did not sell the hotel day as a disaster from the start; she described it as a place with everything a parent might think would work, then showed how heat, tiredness and timing changed the result.
Mad baby name choice
On the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, Williams also said the name chosen for her fourth baby is “mad” and that Joanne McNally flinched when she heard it. She said: “Well, it’s such a big first name that we’re going to do a normal middle name, just in case, so the baby can choose.”
That leaves the first name itself unrevealed, but the plan around it is clear: the family has gone for a bold first name and a safer middle name so the child has room to decide later. For readers following Williams’ recent comments, the main takeaway is simple — the hotel day went badly, and the name reveal is still only partly on the table.
