Essex Police seized 13 luxury cars on Tuesday after reports of dangerous and anti-social driving on the M11, with the incident unfolding at about 16.20 BST. The action followed a convoy of supercars seen travelling northbound after joining from London.
Officers stopped the vehicles at the services at junction 8, Birchanger Green Interchange near Bishop's Stortford. The seized cars included Lamborghinis, Audi R8s, a Ferrari and a Porsche.

Will Willsher said the behaviour reported to police was not only anti-social but potentially placed other road users at serious risk, especially on a busy motorway during peak travel times. Police also issued 13 warnings for anti-social driving.
Witnesses told police they saw vehicles accelerating at excessive speed before slowing down suddenly. Drivers were also allegedly braking heavily, bunching together and disrupting the flow of traffic, while using the hard shoulder to undertake other road users.
Birchanger Green Interchange stop
The convoy reached Birchanger Green Interchange before police intervened, giving the service area a direct role in ending the run northbound on the M11. For drivers in the group, the seizures mean the cars are out of circulation while the investigation continues.
That investigation is still ongoing, leaving the enforcement action in place while police continue to examine what happened on the motorway and whether any further action follows for the drivers or owners of the seized cars.
