The Bloodline were supposed to feel inevitable. Instead, they keep looking like a story WWE is trying to force back into the spotlight rather than one that is naturally commanding it. At WWE SummerSlam 2026, that awkward truth showed up again, because the six-man tag match ended with LA Knight pinning Jey Uso with the BFT and handing The Bloodline another setback.
Over the past several months, the Usos and Jacob Fatu crossed paths with numerous high-profile stars, including Solo Sikoa, and that has only made the whole thing feel more muddled. WWE is clearly trying to relive the glory days of The Bloodline, but the character direction has become increasingly hard to read. This was not a night that restored clarity. It was a night that made the confusion louder.
At WWE SummerSlam 2026, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight and Royce Keys formed an alliance to challenge The Bloodline, and the result was decisive. LA Knight did the damage where it mattered most, landing the BFT on Jey Uso for the pinfall. That is the part that should sting for The Bloodline: when the smoke cleared, they were the ones left trying to explain another loss on a major stage.
The reaction from here practically writes itself. After losing at WWE SummerSlam Saturday, The Bloodline was expected to attempt to make up for it by interfering in Roman Reigns' match with Seth Rollins on Night Two. That at least gives the storyline somewhere to go, because right now it badly needs direction. If WWE wants this act to feel dangerous again, it cannot keep letting it drift through big matches and hope nostalgia does the heavy lifting.
Jacob Fatu and The Bloodline need more than name value
That is the uncomfortable truth. The names still matter, and the history still matters, but the act itself has lost some of its old force. Beating The Bloodline at SummerSlam should still mean something. Here, though, it felt less like the start of a fresh chapter and more like another reminder that WWE is still searching for the right way to use Jacob Fatu and the rest of the group without simply leaning on what worked before.
