On Monday, Aug. 3, Bella said she had been taken to a local hospital for more examination after the event, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque said the injury seemed pretty bad. She wrote, "I wanted to thank you all for sending me all the love, warm wishes and prayers."
Bella said she does not know how she finished the match, adding that adrenaline, passion for the business and love for the women she works with gave her the drive to keep going. That is the part that turns this from a routine post-match update into a real roster problem for WWE: the injury came in the ring, but the fallout reaches the plans built around her.

The match paired Bella, Nikki and Paige against Fatal Influence, and Bella’s injury hit during the first night of SummerSlam. She said, "... If there’s one thing I know about my sister and I is that we don’t let broken bones stop us. Not sure how I finished that match, but I do believe between the adrenaline, passion for the business and the love for all the women I work with, it gave me the drive to finish. Now my new journey starts!!"
