Illinois State Police Sgt. Douglas Lee was arrested on July 30 in connection with a sexual assault allegation tied to an Aug. 2, 2025 incident involving a bartender at Durbin's in Tinley Park. Court documents say the 54-year-old, who is identified as being of Tinley Park, is at the center of a case that includes alleged drugging, a later blacked-out wake-up in a car, and DNA evidence.

When the woman later went to use the bathroom, she discovered semen inside her vagina. A rape kit produced insufficient materials to be compared against another DNA sample, but male DNA matching Lee's buccal swab was found on the waistband of the woman's leggings.
The urine screen tested positive for THC, barbiturates and cocaine. The woman said she had a THC vape pen but did not know how the cocaine or barbiturates ended up in her system.
The next day, Lee told her she had left her vape pen in his car. When she questioned him about the night's events, he asked if she was questioning his manhood and said everything was consensual. He also told her he had taken her to a hotel and later left her in her vehicle because she could not drive.
