Patrick Clancy married Dr. Rachel Danis in April, months after his public GoFundMe post asked people to forgive Lindsay Clancy after the deaths of their three children. The remarriage became public last week in court, where Kevin Reddington said: “As the court is aware, they’re divorced, he’s remarried, he has a family.”
April in Central Park
A friend of the couple said they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park. Danis is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist based in New York City. That places the remarriage in a specific setting, and it also makes clear that Patrick has moved into a new family life while the older case remains in the public record.
GoFundMe after the deaths
Patrick wrote in the GoFundMe post just days after the deaths that “I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have.” He also wrote, “The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone — me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients.” In the same post, he added, “All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”
The children — Cora, Dawson, and Callan — were killed on Jan. 24, 2023, in the basement of the Duxbury, Massachusetts, home, according to the case description. Lindsay Clancy was charged with murdering them, and the account says she allegedly strangled the children with exercise bands before allegedly jumping out of a second-story window in a botched suicide attempt. Reddington told the court, “Patrick Clancy has suffered one of the worst tragedies that anyone could ever suffer. How that guy is not an emotional basket case is beyond me, and he is trying hard to move on with his life.”
The remarriage adds a new public marker to a case that has stayed tied to grief, legal proceedings, and Patrick’s own words in the days after the killings. What his marriage to Danis means for the family’s private life is not explained in the record now public.
