Edvin Ryding has joined Heated Rivalry Season 2 as Luca Haas. The casting adds one of 5 new performers to a second season that is already moving toward a spring 2027 premiere.
Emily Hampshire, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka joined Ryding in the Season 2 ensemble, with Robert Naylor set as Wyatt Hayes. That kind of add-on rollout usually means the production is widening the board before the season lands, not simply filling slots.
Season 2 Adds 5 Players
Deadline reported the cast expansion, and the list is specific: Hampshire will play Vanessa, Jalees is Farah Jalali, Priyanka portrays Tarek, and Ryding is Luca Haas. Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie are also attached as Harris Drover and Troy Barrett, which means the season is not just adding bodies but building parallel character lanes.
Season 2 is continuing Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov while also introducing a new couple through Role Model. That split is the main structural challenge here: the show has to protect the core relationship that carried Season 1 while making room for a second narrative engine without flattening either one.
Luca Haas Joins the Board
Ryding’s role matters because Luca Haas arrives inside that broader expansion, not as an isolated guest turn. For viewers, the practical takeaway is simple: Season 2 is being built as a larger ensemble project, so the new characters are likely there to carry weight across the season rather than appear as decoration.
Spring 2027 is the current target for the premiere on HBO Max in the U.S., Australia, Europe excluding the UK, Ireland, Spain and Turkey, Latin America and parts of Asia. That gives the season a long runway to finish shaping the new character mix, and the unresolved piece is how much screen time Luca Haas and the other additions will actually get once the season arrives.
