Andria Bartishvili is the latest marker on Arsenal’s search for a forward, with the club now in talks with Kenan Yildiz’s representatives and weighing a swap involving Gabriel Martinelli or Gabriel Jesus. The move is being discussed while the summer window has only a few weeks left, and Juventus are less receptive to losing Yildiz than Arsenal are to using one of their forwards as part of the deal.
Kenan Yildiz and Arsenal
Yildiz would arrive with a clear record from last season: 11 goals and 10 assists. Arsenal have already spent much of this summer looking at forward options, and the present stage of the story is not a completed offer but fresh enquiries that have reached the player’s camp.
Arsenal have been made aware that a move to the Emirates appeals to Yildiz. That matters because it gives Arsenal a point of leverage, even if Juventus remain opposed to selling him and have stronger reasons to keep the forward than to reopen the market for him.
Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus
The possible structure being floated would use Gabriel Martinelli or Gabriel Jesus, and in some versions both players, as part of the exchange. Juventus have shown interest in both Arsenal forwards, which gives the discussion a practical route beyond a straight cash bid.
Martinelli’s situation is the sharper of the two. He rejected the chance to join Galatasaray after the Turkish club offered Arsenal €45million, and David Ornstein said: “Gabriel Martinelli camp inform Arsenal winger has no interest in joining Galatasaray.” Ornstein also said: “#AFC received €45m bid from Turkish club & open to trading if suitable offers arrive but #Galatasaray not on agenda for 25yo Brazil international.”
Juventus resist the sale
Gabriel Jesus was also part of talks with Napoli earlier this summer, but he was not open to that move and was carefully assessing his options before deciding on his future. That leaves Arsenal with two forwards who have already turned away from exits, even as Juventus continue to explore whether either can fit into a broader exchange.
The complication is straightforward: Arsenal have fresh interest in Yildiz, Yildiz is open to the Emirates, and Juventus are resistant to selling him. If Arsenal and Juventus decide to turn the talks into a formal swap structure, the shape of the deal will depend on whether Martinelli, Jesus, or both can be moved into the conversation before the window closes.
