Jin Sakai is back in ghost of yōtei most wanted, where he appears as one of four playable characters in Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. During State of Play, the mode was laid out as a single-player combat survival run built around bounties, upgrades, and escalating difficulty.
PlayStation.Blog said, "Jin Sakai will be one of our playable characters in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted!" and described the mode by adding, "Most Wanted is our spin on a roguelike." That setup gives players a different route through the game: pick a fighter, take a bounty, clear a run, and build toward stronger loadouts on the next attempt.
Four fighters in Ghost of Tsushima
The four-character roster includes Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin Sakai. Atsu starts with dual katana, Metsubushi, and a Blind Bomb, with Call of the Pack as an Ultimate and Onryō’s Howl as a Kill Streak. Oyuki fights with the kusarigama, kunai, and the tanegashima rifle, while Nagato uses the yari, tanzutsu, yumi, and hankyu.
Those loadouts matter because Most Wanted is not a simple character swap. Each fighter comes with a defined combat package, so the mode gives Players of Ghost of a way to choose between speed, control, range, and stance-driven pressure before the run even starts.
Jin Sakai’s four stances
Jin Sakai uses all four of his signature stances in the mode, which makes his return feel unusual inside Ghost of Yōtei. Ghost of Tsushima is a separate game, so folding him into Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition turns the new mode into a crossover layer instead of a straight continuation.
That crossover also gives the mode a business purpose beyond novelty. As players complete runs, they earn perks and upgrades to build out their character, becoming more powerful as they go, and mon earned in the mode can be spent outside runs to unlock new techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and character unlocks. Cosmetics earned through Most Wanted also carry over into the main game.
Lord Saito’s final bounty
Most Wanted is built around bounties with escalating difficulty, and the hardest bounty is against Lord Saito himself. Players can replay bounties at increasing difficulty levels, so the mode is set up to reward repeated runs rather than a single clear.
The practical takeaway is simple: Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition is not just adding a side mode, it is adding a progression loop that keeps feeding back into the main game. The immediate question for players is how many runs it will take to unlock every character upgrade and cosmetic path inside Most Wanted.
