Moritz Fürste and Christian Toetzke are buying back Infront’s 60 percent stake in Hyrox with L. Catterton and WNDR. The founders said they will hold more than 50 percent after the transaction and keep running the fitness event series.
Hyrox and Infront
Hyrox was founded in 2017 and has grown over nine years into a worldwide phenomenon. The series now draws around two million fitness enthusiasts this year in nearly 40 countries, with races built around eight kilometers of running and eight workout stations.
Infront previously held 60 percent of the shares, while Fürste and Toetzke held the remaining 40 percent.
Christian Toetzke on control
He also said, “Wir werden unsere Preispolitik weiter so machen wie bisher.”
The founders’ position is straightforward: they are not selling out, they are buying back control. Fürste said, “Wir sehen das Ganze langfristig, wollen unser Baby noch weiter betreuen,” and Toetzke said, “Aber jetzt sind wir auch formell wieder voll am Ruder.”
L. Catterton and WNDR
The deal brings L. Catterton and WNDR into the ownership group as the founders move above the 50 percent threshold.
That is the scale change now sitting behind the ownership shift.
What remains decisive for readers is the structure of control: the founders say they hold the majority, keep operating the brand, and do not intend to sell Hyrox. How much was paid for Infront’s 60 percent stake is still the unanswered part of the transaction.
