The team said the transaction is complete after August 26, following the league vote that cleared the way for the Khosla family to take control. Vinod Khosla will serve as Chair in the new ownership group, and the family is stepping into a franchise with a long-established identity in Seattle and across the Pacific Northwest.
In a statement, Khosla said the family is “honored and excited to begin this next chapter.” He also pointed to the Seahawks’ championship culture, winning football and deep connection to the 12s and the Pacific Northwest, while saying the family looks forward to engaging with the Seattle community and building on the team’s legacy and traditions.

The Seahawks will formally introduce the Khosla family at a press conference at Lumen Field on Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. PT. That public introduction will be the next clear milestone in a sale that has now moved from approval to completion.
The change in ownership also marks another transition point in the franchise’s history, with the Khosla family now taking over a team that has built its identity around longtime support from the 12s, home games in Seattle and a broader role in the region.
