Fidium Outage Hits Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont Users

Fidium outage reports spread across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont on Thursday, and some users said websites, apps and phone support were failing too. Downdetector began receiving reports around 3:10 p.m. EDT Thursday, which put a timestamp on a service problem that was already spreading across the region.

Customers in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont said their service was down. One user in northern Vermont wrote, “Internet down in northern Vermont. Phone support makes a few beeps and hangs up on me. Tryna figure out if it's my equipment or them.”

Downdetector and Fidium Fiber

Downdetector showed most outage reports coming from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. That lines up with the reports from customers who said their internet was dead and Fidium Fiber’s website and app were not loading.

That detail matters because it shows the outage was not limited to home connections. When the website, app and phone support are also failing, customers lose the usual route for checking status or getting help.

Support channels went quiet

One customer wrote, “Phone support just disconnects, website won’t load, internet dead. It’s like someone just turned off Fidium as an entire company.”

Another user said, “I call customer service and I just get a busy signal and then it hangs up. This must be a pretty big outage. I am in Westbrook, Maine.”

That leaves users with the same practical problem on every front: no service, no status page, and no phone line to explain whether the issue is local equipment or something larger.

Keene NH back on

A user in Bedford Manchester said, “Yup Internet down today 9-10-26 at 3 pm gone.... Bedford Manchester line....great. I also heard Keene NH was out this morning as well but is back on.”

That is the complication inside the outage reports. Keene NH was described as back on earlier in the day, while broader reports were still coming in later, which suggests restoration may have been uneven across the footprint.

The cause of the outage remained unknown, and a timeline for when service would be restored remained unknown. For now, the only solid reference point is the first wave of reports around 3:10 p.m. EDT Thursday, which is the moment affected customers can use to document how long their connection was down.
