The app's Waiting for Voice Server and Awaiting Endpoint errors fit that pattern. Those messages can appear during a server-side outage, a temporary network glitch, or a blocked regional connection.
Some users said the service was back up for them. Others still said they were facing problems, including streaming.
Houston and New York spikes
The Downdetector map showed the highest spikes in Houston and New York. That suggests the disruption was broad enough to hit multiple locations at once.
Shuvrajit reported suggested steps such as restarting Discord completely, changing the Voice Region, switching the network, and flushing the DNS. Those are the only user actions in the update, and they are aimed at separating a local connection problem from a wider voice-server failure.
Discord had not given a timeline for restoration. For now, users who still see the voice-server error have the same practical test: retry after a full restart and check whether the failure follows the account or the connection.
