Inception Group will open The Admiral’s Mess inside Admiralty Arch, adding a 60-seat bar to the Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch project. For London insider news readers, the draw is simple: another venue inside one of London’s most closely watched openings, with a space built for just 60 guests.

Charlie Gilkes, the company’s co-founder, said: “We are honoured to have the opportunity to open within such an iconic London location and are excited to have created a totally unique concept fitting for such a historic site.” The bar will cover 2,400 square feet, which points to a venue designed to feel immersive rather than crowded, even before the first drink is poured.

Admiralty Arch and The Admiral’s Mess

The Admiral’s Mess will sit inside the Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch, which is billed to open in autumn 2026. That hotel is set to be the first hotel inside Admiralty Arch, and the wider project also includes restaurants from Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud, along with whisky and cocktail bars.

Inception Group already has a track record for themed hospitality through Mr Fogg’s, Bunga90 and Cahoots, including Cahoots in Soho, which is themed around the London Underground. The new venue fits that pattern: a named concept in a landmark setting, built around atmosphere as much as capacity.

The wrinkle is that the source gives a clear outline of the venue but little beyond it. The Admiral’s Mess is described as immersive and totally unique, yet the quoted details stop at the setting, the size and the seat count. For now, that leaves the practical question hanging over the opening: what will the room, the drinks and the experience actually look like once the doors open inside Admiralty Arch?
