RAW has named Rebecca North its Head of Documentaries with immediate effect, putting The Tinder Swindler back into the frame around the company’s nonfiction slate. North will keep working as an executive producer while taking on the new role, and her next titles include a new feature doc and series for Netflix.
That promotion places a long-time RAW executive at the centre of the company’s unscripted strategy. North has been an executive producer at RAW since 2015, and her recent work includes Netflix’s The Crash, the BAFTA-nominated series American Nightmare, ITV’s The Undercover Police Scandal: Love and Lies Exposed, Netflix’s The Puppet Master: Hunting The Ultimate Conman and Sweet Bobby.

Joely Fether said, “It’s incredibly exciting to see Rebecca take on this new role at Raw.” Fether also said, “Her instinct for stories and integrity in navigating extremely difficult subjects whilst creating powerful and compelling films is exceptional.”
Fether linked the promotion to RAW’s wider slate ambitions, saying, “Supported by Jonny and Tim, and alongside the rest of our fantastic senior team, we feel better placed than ever to deliver innovative and impactful titles in this fast-moving and evolving market.” The line matters because North is being asked to do two jobs at once: shape documentary strategy and continue as an executive producer on active projects.
Chloe Symonds at RAW
RAW also made Chloe Symonds VP Global Unscripted Development. She will work to Ross Goodlass, SVP Global Unscripted Development, after joining RAW in 2022 from the development team at Mindhouse and previously working at Flicker.
Fether said, “The elevation of Chloe also sees a real emerging talent take on a more senior role within the company.” The paired promotions suggest RAW is tightening the link between development and production, with North steering documentaries and Symonds handling a more senior development brief.

North’s recent credits give the new role immediate weight. The Crash was the streamer’s highest rating doc film in the first six months of 2026, reached 65 million views and hit No. 1 in film across 27 countries.
American Nightmare, released in 2025, also had direct legal fallout: Matthew Muller received multiple further convictions and consecutive life sentences for a series of previously unsolved cold cases. North’s next work is already set in motion through Netflix and another global streamer to be announced, but the projects themselves remain undisclosed.
For viewers, the practical takeaway is simple: RAW is elevating the executive behind some of its most visible documentary work while keeping her in production. The open question is which specific projects will move faster now that North is responsible for documentaries as well as the titles she already has in play.
