Residents in Wichita reported lowered or lost Wichita water pressure early Wednesday morning, with complaints coming from the east side of Wichita and west side of Wichita. City officials said at 6 a.m. that work was underway to address the problem.
By 6:15, the city had not identified the source of the pressure loss. Viewers from across Wichita also reached out about the issue, pointing to a problem that appeared to extend beyond one neighborhood.

The reports gave residents a clear sign that the problem was not isolated. People on both sides of Wichita described the same symptom: pressure that had dropped or disappeared early Wednesday.
