On 18 September, he said on Hits Radio, “Tobi and I are having a baby! They're going to be bopping about soon and they can't wait to come on the radio and chat to everyone.” In the same run of comments, he added, “Obviously I'll be missing the little nipper and you know, I'll be tired.”

Best shared the news on Instagram in a summer photo dump that ended with pictures of Rose’s growing baby bump and baby slippers. He captioned the post “Summer dump” and dropped in “Baby, Will?!” as the tease, a neat bit of self-awareness that did the announcing without overexplaining it.

So I'm going to be a blubbering mess.”
