A motorcycle crash near Ball Arena in Denver left one person dead and another seriously injured Sunday afternoon, according to the Denver Police Department.
Police first posted about the crash at 2:37 p.m. Sunday, saying it happened near Speer Boulevard and Wewatta Street. The crash took place near the entrance to the Corolla and Tundra parking lots at Ball Arena.
What police said
Just before 5 p.m. Sunday, police announced that the motorcyclist had died. A passenger on the motorcycle was also injured and was seriously hurt in the crash.
The location is a busy area near Ball Arena, but the venue’s event calendar showed no scheduled events on Sunday. The Denver Police Department has not released any additional details in the information provided.
