Two men were killed and multiple other people were shot near the 600 block of Pine Street in Vienna GA during the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 4. Coroner Brett Walls said the dead men were 20 and 23 years old, and their families have been notified.
The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m., placing the incident in the middle of the night on Pine Street in Vienna. The victims’ bodies will be given to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for autopsies.
Walls, the Dooly County coroner, said the two dead men are not being identified at this point because the case is still under investigation. Police officials also said multiple other people were shot, adding to the count of victims without giving a number for those who survived.
That leaves the immediate next step with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for autopsies while the investigation continues. For people in Vienna, the most basic unanswered question is still what caused the shooting near the 600 block of Pine Street.
