Florida court extends Keanu Carver protection order through October 20

A Florida court extended a temporary order of protection against Keanu Carver on September 22, keeping in place restrictions that bar him from contact with another NXT talent. The order now runs through October 20 after a petition accused Carver, whose legal name is Kevin Robertson, of stalking and harassment tied to a breakup.

The order requires Robertson to stay at least 500 feet away from the petitioner and to have no contact. The petition said he made as many as 44 unwanted calls in one day and included screenshots that appeared to show calls from Robertson, along with stills from a security camera outside the petitioner’s home that depicted repeated unwelcome visits.

Florida petition against Kevin Robertson

An NXT talent filed the 49-page petition earlier this month in Florida. The filing alleged that Robertson stalked and harassed the petitioner after the relationship ended. It also said the petitioner called police on September 13 after Robertson again came to the residence, refused to leave and made threats to harm himself; Robertson left before police arrived.

The petition added more serious allegations, saying Robertson “spat on me, physically restrained me from leaving his house.” It also said, “[H]e has threatened to kill me, as well as my cats, he has woken me up by plugging my nose in my sleep, he has grabbed me by my throat multiple times and squeezed hard while threatening to kill me.”

September 14 order of protection

A judge granted a temporary order of protection on September 14, then extended it after a hearing on September 22. The order keeps Robertson away from the petitioner until October 20 unless the court changes it sooner. For the petitioner, the practical result is a court-backed stay-away order with a hard distance limit and a no-contact rule.

The matter sits in civil court, but the same conduct described in the filing can also carry criminal consequences under Florida law. POST Wrestling said it could not confirm whether any charges will be filed, and an official with the local police department said the case is still pending with the State Attorney’s Office.

State Attorney’s Office review

The State Attorney’s Office said the case is being investigated and would not answer whether charges will be filed. That leaves the civil order in place for now while the separate criminal review continues on its own track.

Robertson last appeared on NXT programming on September 8, and his most recent match took place on September 12 at an NXT house show in Lakeland, Florida. Any change to the order now turns on the October 20 hearing, where the court can keep the restrictions in place, alter them or end them.
