St. Petersburg is running shuttles around the Trop and to downtown St. Pete and back this week as the Tampa Bay Rays World Series games bring tens of thousands of fans into the area.
The shuttle plan is designed to ease traffic and give fans another way to get to the games without relying on parking near the stadium, where prices can be much higher.
What fans need to know
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at 8 p.m., followed by Game 4 on Tuesday night. Game 5 will be held at the Trop on Wednesday night if needed.
For fans looking to save money, downtown parking is the cheaper option. Parking downtown is $25, while parking near the Trop is $150.
That price gap helps explain why the shuttle service matters. With so many people expected over a short stretch of games, the city is trying to make the trip to and from the stadium easier and less expensive.
