Jessa Duggar said on the October 28 episode of the Unplanned Podcast that she and Ben Seewald are expecting their seventh child. She said she is six weeks pregnant, putting the family’s next pregnancy announcement on a very early timeline.
“We have six kids and we’re actually expecting again. Six weeks pregnant with No. 7,” she said on the Wednesday episode. The couple already have six children, including Eddie, who was born in July 2025.

Duggar said the couple takes each pregnancy one at a time and that this one was planned after what she described as an unexpected pregnancy with baby No. 6. She also said she felt a little queasy in her first trimester, a detail that places the announcement at the start of the pregnancy rather than near its midpoint or end.
She told Seewald by text message while he was golfing with Jed. “I just texted him a photo of the pregnancy test and then I talked to him six hours later,” she said. Seewald said he saw the message while golfing and replied, “Wait, what?”
Describing Ben Seewald
Seewald then told Duggar’s dad and brothers about the pregnancy before brunch after golfing. He said, “I’ll bless the food, guys,” and then added, “Lord, thank you for this new baby on the way. They’re like, ‘What?!’”
The couple also described the decision to have another child as deliberate. Duggar said, “It’s always me,” when asked whose idea the baby was, and Seewald said, “She’s the one carrying this child. … If she wants to have another one, wants to be a mom again, who am I to stand in the way of that?”
For the family, the immediate update is simple: six children is becoming seven, and the announcement came with an early marker that many readers would want first — six weeks. Duggar said Seewald is an intentional dad who takes the children on dates pretty much every week, including one or two at breakfast, while the pregnancy moves forward from its first stage.
