Parma and Udinese both announced their official line-ups on the day of the match as the two clubs prepared for a Serie A relegation six-pointer at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. Kickoff is set for 18:30 CET, which is 17:30 GMT.
The stakes are clear. Parma and Udinese are both on four points, level with Fiorentina and only one point above bottom side Venezia, so the result will shape the early-season survival picture. With so little separating several teams near the bottom, this is the kind of fixture that can have an outsized impact even this early in the campaign.
Parma and Udinese line up with pressure already building
Parma go into the match after three straight league defeats under Alberto Gilardino. The coaching change came at the end of September, when Gilardino replaced Carlos Cuesta, but the points return has not yet improved enough to ease the pressure.
Udinese arrive in even more difficult form after six straight league defeats. They were beaten 2-0 at home by Milan on Sunday, while Parma fell 2-0 down early in the second half at Lazio on Saturday before Simone Lontani scored a late consolation goal.
The confirmed team sheets will now decide how both sides approach a match that already feels significant for the bottom half of Serie A. Parma and Udinese are separated by nothing in the table, and both clubs know that a positive result would be an important step away from the early relegation battle.
Davide Massa has been assigned as referee for the game.
