Firefighting and Rescue Team No. 12 is pushing a fire detection system across establishments and businesses in its area. By October 20, 2026, 57,578 establishments had agreed to install fire alarm communication devices, and 6,918 devices were already in place.

The installation drive is meant to shorten the time needed to receive fire information and improve how forces and equipment are deployed when incidents occur.

That changes the reporting path itself. When an automatic fire alarm system at a facility detects an incident and sends a signal, the communication device can pass the information to the receiving center under its configured connection.

The scale is uneven. The number of establishments that agreed to install the devices is far higher than the number already installed, which means the rollout has moved well past persuasion but has not yet reached full equipment coverage.

Authorities also said 100% of establishments within the deployment area had declared their data as of October 20, 2026. That gives the installation effort a complete address list to work from, which is the basic requirement for getting alerts routed to the right place.

The system adds an automatic reporting channel, so it does not depend entirely on a person making a direct call after a fire starts. That is especially useful at night, in facilities with few permanent staff, and during off-peak hours.

Complete address, coordinates, and facility information help the Fire and Rescue Police force pinpoint an incident location more easily. The practical question now is how quickly the remaining establishments that agreed to install the devices will actually move from agreement to hardware on site.
