Core 4 Solutions has listed an eBay Core 4 solutions AI cluster for $59.7 million. The decommissioned system spans 300 racks and is being offered with best offer terms. The posting turns a retired data-center asset into a public marketplace listing.
Core 4 Solutions and eBay
The Minnesota-based IT hardware reseller says each rack carries four compute nodes and three management nodes, which puts the listing at roughly $199,000 per rack before installation or cooling. Buyers who are looking at the post are not just shopping for hardware. They are also looking at the cost of turning a warehouse listing into a working deployment.
Each compute node is advertised with eight Nvidia A100 40GB SXM4 GPUs, two 64-core AMD EPYC Rome processors, and 1TB of DDR4-2933 memory. That adds up to as many as 9,600 A100 accelerators, 4,200 EPYC Rome CPUs, roughly 268,800 CPU cores, and about 1.4 petabytes of system memory across the full cluster. Core 4 Solutions also reports 99.9% positive feedback on eBay.
DGX A100 and A100
The listing's component mix matches Nvidia's DGX A100 documentation on paper, which is why the configuration looks technically coherent rather than random parts bundled together. But the specs come from the listing itself, and they have not been independently audited. A buyer would need to verify serial numbers, GPU counts, memory configurations, firmware, and networking hardware before spending anything close to $59.7 million.
The price covers none of the operational needs for deployment. A 300-rack installation still needs industrial power distribution, specialized cooling, physical floor space, high-speed networking, fire suppression systems, qualified operators, and spare parts. The reported $50 overnight delivery option makes the listing easy to click through, but it does not make the cluster easy to run.
